Our project Honda Civic Si in need of a GrillCraft lower mesh grille kit.

Picture #2:
Remove the plastic clips that secure the plastic under hood trim panel.
|

Remove plastic trim panel.

Picture #4:
Remove the two allen bolts that secure the top section of the bumper cover to the vehicle.
|

Remove the two screws located in the front fender well there is one screw on each side.

Remove the 10mm bolts located on the
right & left under side of the front bumper cover.

Remove the plastic push clips located on the front under side of the front bumper cover.

Remove the plastic push clips located on the front under side of the front bumper cover.

Remove bumper cover from the vehicle.

Picture #10:
Using 1/8 in drill bit make a vertical slot in the vent grille area just wide enough for the grille mounting tab.

Insert vent grille mounting tab into the slotted opening as shown.

You will notice the vent opening plastic comes in contact with the back of the vent grille this section of plastic must be ground down as shown in the next steps ahead.

Using a grinder grind this area down.

Grinding down the plastic area behind the vent grille.

Now the GrillCraft vent grille will fit into place with this area that has been ground down.

OPTIONAL: Here is a idea to get more are to your air intake simply cut slots into the plastic grille area on the bumper.

Mount the vent grille into the opening.

While holding grille in place mark mounting tab center hole locations.

Fasten vent grille in place using supplied hardware.

Place lower GrillCraft grille into the lower bumper opening as shown.

While holding grille in place mark mounting tab center hole locations.

Mount the supplied "U" nuts onto the grille mounting tabs as shown.

Drill 3/16 inch hole for the grille mounting screws.

If you dont want to cut the factory grille center out you will need to drill a small slotted hole in order for the grille tab to sit flush with the mounting clip installed.
